Miami Valley Manufacturing and Assembly of Dayton, Ohio approached Brown & Bills Architects with a project to modify an existing building to accommodate a new multi- million dollar milling machine. The installation of the equipment required the lowering of the entire floor of the existing building 48 inches, design and construction of the foundations and new flooring structures, installation of an overhead door to accommodate semi-truck and trailers, and the design and installation of the overhead crane running the length and width of the building. The area of the floor being lowered is 47 feet by 70 feet. The span of the crane is 50 feet and the run is 75 feet. Stay tuned for more progress.
